Sorry I am late to the thread....he is beautiful! You have a heart of gold Amy Jo.
Any leads on a new home? Sorry to say RPB is not taking any dogs at the moment but I will keep my eyes and ears open.
How is he doing so far?

Ok CA, thank you soo much!!!! He would love that. Michele, thank you. He is doing so good. Haven't heard him bark yet. No accidents. He's just a sweet little snuggle bug. I have had quite a few people interested that I know, but no one that I feel would be good. Not good Pit Bull homes, if you know what I mean. Ca, I'm pming you now.

Oh he is beautiful ! I too, would leave that forum ASAP !! Idiot moron who said that !
I can recommend Jason Flatt in Georgia. He has a pit bull rescue with kennels at his home. He is the best !! I don't know if you ever saw RESCUE INK on television some time back. It is made up of men who ride Harley's in New the York area. These wonderful men are close friends to Jason Flatt and don't take crap from anyone. I can give you Jason's phone number and you can contact him. His rescue is "Friends of the Forlorn Pit Bull Rescue" . 112 Bainbridge Dr. Dallas Ga. 30132 His phone number is ( 917) 939-1591
He is also on Face Book under his rescue email is flatttwst.com Please contact him.
I too wish I could take this sweet boy in, but Toma is also dog aggressive.
Jason is a sweetheart of a rescuer , his commintment to saving these dogs is amazing !

Melonie, can I use that FB post you did to send an email out to my contacts? I'll substitute my own contact info.
Amy Jo, any more info you learn about him while he's with you, please share so we can pass it along. Hopefully between all of us something good will happen for this little guy!

Any luck finding him a home yet? Sorry I missread the first post and thought he was the one who was dog agressive.
How long can you keep him before you would have to definitely get him out of there or put him down?

Well, I'm not sure exactly. Kim, the rescuer was thinking another couple months.
No sight of a home at all....

Update: I honestly think Twist would do 100% fine with any and all dogs. He was very pushy with the dogs when he came here, he now gets along with all 4 of my dog. 1 of my males is very dominant and my cocker spaniel is a sassy little thing. They all get along. He could easy fit into a home with any dog that is not dog aggressive and still no cats. I have pics and videos of all 5 coming soon!!

I think him being in a kennel all the time at the rescue made him respond differently to other dogs when he came. He's now just a happy lucky Pit doing zoomies with the other dogs.

Still no home in sight. :/
The longer I have Twist, the more of a gentleman he becomes. Tolerant of the other dogs, obiedent, and a snuggle bug. I can't believe o one wants a dog that is already competly trained . It gets me nervous......I hope this boy doesn't end up euthanized.
At one point in my life I wanted to run a Pit Bull rescue, I now get to truly see how hard it is. When I was trying to get that puppy everyone jumps on it, I had so many PMs and phone calls about people wanting her. Now I have a dog here needing a home none of those people are interested. People who want a puppy are crazy lol. Id much rather take Twist over a 8 week old pooping peeing crying machine.
Everyone cross your fingers.
And if anyone knows anyone interested, I'll figure out transportation.

UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have someone (A Friend of a friend) Coming to meet Twister this weekend!!!!! If they click here, we are going to introduce Twist to her dog (She has an older female Pit), if they click he is going to stay for the weekend and have a 'trial' to see if he fits in their home! Cross your fingers!!!!! If not, hell come back here. On another note... I havent really said anything to anyone, but I lost my job. The store I worked at is getting closer and closer to closing down and theyve been making cuts. Well, it was my turn. They now only have 3 employees at the store. I knew it was coming but not this fast so I of course started stressing about our budget. We CAN stay a float but money is going to be HELLA tight until I find a new job.... On ANOTHER note.... I have to give a little shout out as well, because Nyri has sent me money to help with the costs of dog food out of the kindness in her heart and to help keep Twister alive and in our home. It is amazing how many awesome people there are on this forum. Dog lovers, are the best. Again Nyri, thank you and Twist thanks you!

Awesome! I hope that she falls in love with Twister and that her dog doesn't mind him. That would be great if he could have a home already.
You're more than welcome. It's not really a big deal, I just think he looks like a great dog and I really think he deserves to live long enough to find a great home.
