Chris is so cute and he sounds like such a good boy! The link that Suzi posted above should help. But let us know if you have any other questions.

Chris is slowly coming around.Meaning he is walking better on the leash and he does follow alot of commands. He still will chew up the curtains.I have child proofed my house.I was told to get bitter apple spray and use that. But he now will chew holes in the wall.Did anybody ever have this problem? And if so how do you deal with it.That can be quite costly if he continues to do this.I have all kinds of toys for him.Don't know what to do.

Pit Bulls are big time chewers, and it takes a while for some of them to grow out of it. How much exercise does he get, and how long is he staying alone so that he can chew walls, etc? He may need to be crated and/or kept in a smaller enclosed area vs being just left alone loose in the house.

We walk at least 2 miles everyday. And i do crate him when i leave the house.Must nights i let him sleep on the foot of my bed.Or i have to admit sometimes i am on my computer which is in the bedroom. And thats one of the times he gets into stuff. And once a week sometimes twice i take him out to my friends property in the woods where he can run around on 5 acres.I guess i will have to watch him a lot closer.

He needs mental exercise as well, the physical exercise isnt cutting it. Play mind games and get food toys that work his mind, teach him obedience skills that are harder then sit, down etc.. And definitely dont let him out of your sight until he is grown up

He is 3.I know it sounds crazy but how long would it be before i can consider him not a puppy anymore. Also my insurance agent came out the other day to take pictures of the house to make sure no tree limbs are hanging over the house. And told me since i have a pitbull i will have to pay 25 dollars more a month. And there was an article in the local paper that said a lady across town got her insurance cancelled because she now has a pitbull what the heck is up with that.

Lol mine didnt mature until he hit 5 years old and now at 11.5 yrs old he still gets into trouble. I did mind games and food toys and lots of mental exercise to tire out my dogs Yep some homeowners insurance will cancel you if you have a breed they dont want. If your company is charging you 25 bucks extra another take it- not many companies will cover bully breeds.

Glad to hear that Chris is doing well!!
Agree that he might need some more mental stimulation and food toys. Pet smart has interactive toys as does a lot of other places.
Count your blessings it is only 25 bucks more like Maryellen said soooo many insurance companies won't even insure pit bull owners period across the board.
