These are shots from the day before he got the apparatus off his ear, and the day of. He escaped his crate which injured his ear, then he managed to rip the sutures out of the back of his neck. I had to cobble together a way to keep his ear secure. It kept bleeding on and off, I was sure he'd eff'd his ear up good. But, his vet said it looked pretty good. She actually did a dog the same day as Winston in which the owner didn't opt for the device. She said Winnies looked a heck of a lot better than the other dog. But my big baby cried when she removed it. I promised him DQ treats for putting him through this. He got his very own small dish. lol

I did begin to think the ear was filling w/ blood again a day or two after. I have photos somewhere. But I don't think it is now. Just swollen and still healing. Though his ear isn't like it used to be. I don't know if it'll ever look like the other one again. He is feeling a lot better, but River is still being a B, and tries to sniff, lick, nose, his ear. I have to protect the boy from the big mean old puppy girl.

Poor Winnie. Seriously, these dogs are the worst when it comes to healing injuries. They have no sense of their own well being and seem determined to open up stitches, lick at scabs so they won't heal over, and just continue to damage themselves in general.
