No, i take it away after a few minutes to make sure she doesn't fill up on it. Her main diet is pellets and seeds, the human food is just a treat. She wont get more human food for a week now

I wasn't sure if you could supplement daily. My daughter sent me this today, out of the blue. I haven't mentioned wanting a bird in a long time. But if I had the time and money I'd buy one. Sent from my SGP561 using proboards Attachments:

That's a decent price. I paid $60 which was a lot even though she was hand fed and raised. But everyone has told me they rarely see babies available. Usually 6 months and older lol . I divide my time between bird/dogs/chickens/ boyfriend lol..

Right now I'm only working 33 hours a week, which is not good since since i was promised 40. I took a pay cut when I left my other job. So it's hit kind of hard. So I'm looking for a 3rd job. I still help at the shelter a few hours a month, but it's not enough to compensate the loss. I did speak to my boss, again, about hours. Aryn no longer lives at home so they are more demanding of my time since I'm the only one they see. I'd likely end up with a zoo if I could afford to and had the space!

I hear you- i would love a zoo but then i wouldn't sleep lol. Can the shelter give you more hours? That's not fair the new job promised set hours then reneged .. Its not fair at all

I told Connie to go ahead and put me in where ever she can in Dec. Nov. I'll end up with around 6 hours. I do plan on talking to coworkers to see who is feeling lazy and to take their hours.

ME, there's no reason she can't have people food every day. Mine lived 28 years on Harrisons pellets, people food and millet sprays. Once in a while I'd give her a seed mix with safflower seed, but stay away from sunflower seed. It's like birdie crack. Not as healthy for her, either. It took a long time for me to get mine off sunflower. When I first got her she would starve before eating anything else.

She eats people food, pellets, millet, and cockateil seed that doesn't have that much sunflower seeds . She doesn't really eat them anymore its mostly the other food she eats more. She also gets Cheerios and rice crispies too..she is growing up nice and is very friendly. Still cautious about toys and only occasionally plays with one toy .
