Hi Everyone, Didn't know where can I share my feelings so I ended up here - only you guys would understand me. We will be moving to Boston this August for my wife's PhD, I started looking for apartments in most of the sites out there, it seems that big old USA has some issues both with pets and specifically with pit-bulls. performing a wide query brings me back lets say 100 apartments that could fit, selecting a dog a pet leaves about 35 places, where ALL of them restrict sizes and breeds - what the hell? I mean even places that does not mention any breed restrictions - usually mention it at a later stage of the communication. We own a 10 year old pit bull mix - and it seems this is the only thing separating us from finding an apartment. We dont mind paying more, we dont mind keeping him muzzled where needed, we dont mind to pay for the insurance ourselves, can you please advise what is the best way finding apartments which is pitbull friendly ? (Boston area) Currently we live in Israel, you can find in two minutes a place to live, no one would ask you anything and what kind of breed do you have - this is why this is so unusual to us. please help us ! photo of him about 8 years ago

Hi everyone, it's been a while since my last visit here Recently (during the last half a year lets say) , my dog lost two of the lower teeth I was not worried since indeed his upper teeth were touching the lower part which sound logical for me. In any case, today he lost another tooth from the lower part, so now in the front he has two canines and only one tooth in the middle of the incisors. I called today my vet, and he told me don't worry about it, basically there is nothing I can do and it would fall with or without me he told me it is regular with a 8 year old dog with a undershot jaw. Can you please calm me down? or in any case provide more information about this? He is eating chewing bones more or leas on a daily basis, but i guess it does not affect the teeth issue cause he is using is rear teeth , but he is also playing with this toy below : www.lunapet.biz/product.asp?pro_id=3 Which is filled with something he likes and I do believe he is using his front teeth for this mission. Thanks!

Today started really bad, I walk my dog (if you recall) male 3-4 years old, castrated, usually never fights. every day at 7:00 till 8:00 AM, and all of his friends do it in the same time (both males and females). my parents has a husky mix, quite old 8-9 - not castrated, which we do the night walk. almost every day. the husky quite often runs away for a few days since he isnt castrated and quite horny...i am always telling my friend to finally do it.... i bought him a pet tag so that people will call him when he runs away... today 7:00 while i am going to my usual place to do the walk i see him , alone , loose , and trying to mount a male - castrated lab , who is also a friend of my dog... i took less than 10 seconds before they start to fight, the dog is impossible to break. no matter how. and we were 3 grown males - it is imposible. after a few minutes of fight - while i am holding both of the dogs , the husky began to lose is breath, stopped fighint and his tounge turn blue. he just faded, almost died. i almost died my self, i asked for one of the other guys to give me a stick, and i used it as a break stick, and it worked... but not like other normal breeds....two seconds after i released the dogs, i've let him go, and he gave a chance for a second run... with my last powers i was able to get him from his tail...... after the whole situtation, i was unble to breath, very mad, and frustrated. since they are familiar and everyday doing the daily work at night... 1. any idea why it happend? 2. any ideas what will happen if i will meet him today at night again? 3. any ideas how to break a fight - without a break stick? 4. should i buy a brake stick and take it with me all the time? any other input will be great as well, sorry for taking this out here, since i am very pissed right now. thanks.

well I went to see her. and I was not amazed. she requires a lot of work. 1. she looks quite hyper. which is the opposite of mine. 2. she looks that she can get aggressive easily - when my dog tried to mount her (can i say it??) , she immediately jumped on him and he wasn't even ready for that. 3. she has no discipline once or ever. 4. mine had a lot if issues with cats (still do if he is unleashed) - but she is ever worst then he is. ((((((
