... a pit bull mix. He's officially an AmStaff! I just received his DNA report, he's AmStaff top and bottom 3 generations! ! He doesn't look any different, though.

At least he's not a Yorkie. That might have been damaging to his self esteem!

Cappy was pulling for Rocky to be a Papillon, too! Oh well, guess I have to go break the news.
Did you really think Rocky was mixed in the first place? I always thought he was purebred...

From his color, and the way his front feet point, I was sure he was AmBully. Who knows what goes into that. We have a lot of AmBully type dogs in my area, and I would never have thought a teenager from Plainfield NJ would have purchased or bred a pure AmStaff. I was sure he was mixed somehow. But then again I didn't think Sedona would have mixes in her from Pembroke Welsh Corgi to Dogue de Bordeaux!

It really makes you wonder what is in our dogs. I would be confidant in saying Winston and Cleveland are pure bred. I am certain Wrinkles is too, but very poorly bred and/or inbred. But since all 3 have differences in them, who knows. Winston could be the mutt of the bunch!

When it comes down to it, it really doesn't matter, does it? We still love them the same. I DNA'd them purely out of curiosity. I won't do Lola's DNA, though. My curiosity fund is running low.

If I was going to do one out of curiosity it would be Wrinkles. But you're right, if they came back papillon like Cappy, I wouldn't love them any less!

I definitely love Cappy less now that he's a Papillon.

Bella's mom and dad are both 'Pit Bulls' but her mom is only about 45 pounds. She is a stout little thing and her dad is all of 70 pounds. Bella is more like her dad at a healthy 60, but I really have no idea how much pit she really is. I do know she isn't a bully =) In any form of the word.
