Yesterday I took a trip to the local trade center. It's basically a huge in-door flea market that rents space to different vendors on the weekends.
I haven't been to this place in years, and I was kinda surpised to see that one of the vendors was a set up like a pet shop. They had mostly birds, small animals like hamsters and gerbils and a few reptiles.
In the back of the vendor space though there was a large crate with the following sign.
For Sale: Pitbull 235.00 All Current Shots Papers avaliable upon request.
The dog was still a puppy, white with reddish tan spots. I've never seen a sadder looking pibble. This little puppy was just laying on it's side despite all the people, noises and smells around. The only time I seen him move was when a lady poked her finger inside the crate. The poor little guy raised it's head and recoiled into the farthest corner he could find.
I swear if I would have had the money I would have bought him on the spot just to take him home and see him bouncing around like a normal puppy.
Don't know why I can't get this little guy out of my head. It just seemed wrong to see something that young looking so much older.

Awe poor puppy. that was Rocky at the shelter. Once he came out of the kennel, he was a bright eyed happy pup. Almost overlooked him.

I don't understand how people can look at this puppy and see it only as a "product" or a a "good" and not for the individual living creature it is. Poor pup.
