Chubby is driving me a little batty lately. He has developed this habit of waking up once or twice in the middle of the night to "make his round" which means walk around the bedroom once or twice and then go back to bed and fall asleep. Anyone else's dog have this weirdo habit?
I've tried giving him more exercise, less exercise, extra bedtime biscuit, and even tried taking him out for a walk (thinking he needed to pee...but no pee!!)
Between Jason snoring and Chubby either 'barking' in his sleep or making his rounds...I'm getting zero sleep!

I sleep very lightly, and hear every sound they make. I can usually go back to sleep right away, but not when Sedona gets up to play at 2:00 in the morning. Like, zoomies play.
It gets painful some nights.

:-XHarley used to do what we called flybys. Many years ago she used to sleep in a bed on the floor next to our bed and every night she would jump on the bed check on my husband and myself jump back off and go back to her bed. Of course since she now sleeps in our bed there is no need to do this anymore as she is well aware I am with her and not in any danger

My dogs are dead to the world... unless there is a cat fight outside... or they hear the neighbors come home late at night. Wrinkles used to get up at night but she's stopped doing that. I try to keep a fan running at night to help drown out other noises. Surprisingly it does seem to work on the dogs.

Maxine used to do that when we first got her.
She'd start out on the couch sleeping, go down to the basement to check on me run upstairs to check on Grandma and the parents, and then either come down and curl up on the futon or else wiggle herself between Mom and Dad.
Now she just plops down and nothing short of food or an atom bomb can interrupt her mid-night snoring.

Rocky sleeps on couch in living room. But he will randomly come and head butt the bedroom door which if closed all the way he cant get in but if not latched the door flies open and sometimes he will circle around in his bed in our room and go to sleep and sometimes he goes to that bed thinks for a second and leave.

mine used to do that... 2am the 3 of them would wake up and want to go out or play... i had to finally crate rufus so the other 2 would go back to sleep.. once he hit 4 he stopped getting up in the middle of the night.. then when i moved to an apt he started all over again, 2 & 3am walks ..

Poca went through a phase like that. I never figured out what was behind it, but she quit eventually.
