Silly me, I was expecting an article. Nope. Just cute pictures. That's pretty much all Stubby does.

Of course Pit Bulls are cuddly and make great pillows. I'm just a bit of a worrier when it comes to kids and dogs and I think a large edu site should go above and beyond. Being careful what you promote through pix is a big part of responsible advocacy. While many dogs are truly GREAT and bomb proof with kids, a huge portion are not. Showcasing kids draped all over dogs is IMO disrespectful to the dogs and a disservice to kids whose safety may be at risk from such behaviors.

It's totally about context. As you said, of course the pictures are cute as heck... but if the purpose is to educate and advocate, I agree that they should be focusing on educating people about safe and appropriate interaction between kids and dogs. There's already PLENTY of cute fluffy pictures out there. But I guess we're Debbie Downers, LOL!

It's obviously PR and not education. I'm seeing pink... I once told someone, when they asked if Jackson (my absolutely bomb-proof dog when it came to kids) like children, that he LOVES kids. He thinks they taste like chicken! I felt a little bad after.

Winston allows kaiha to play with his ears investigate his teeth and mouth...tries to pick his nose and she wags his tail for him. They kiss and share food. I do not allow her to lay on him, she really hasn't tried too much.
Cleveland doesnt get to be around her very often at all, but when he does get to see her, no way in heck Would I allow him to be used as furniture. He would not appreciate it one bit.

considering all the great efforts to educate kids and parents on safe interaction with dogs, this kind of "aren't kids abusing dogs cute" stuff needs to end.
