Oh man I was proud of myself today!! 
I walked to the park with my two daughters and Bola. Just enjoying a wonderful day. I was sitting on a bench watching Avery (My 3 year old) play on the playground and had Faith (My baby) in her stroller right by me and Bola was sitting on the bench beside me.
Some guy came walking up to me and says this
"How dare you bring a dog like that to a place where there are children around???"
It totally caught me off guard. I sat there for a second taking in what he said. Then I looked down at Bola who had jumped off the bench when he noticed there was and visitor and was now standing on the ground trying to greet this man, his tail wagging 100 miles an hour.
I then smiled. Looked up at the guy and said...
"look at him! (At this point Bolas entire body is moving side to side because the guy looked at him) Cant you see its dinner time?! This is our nightly ritual, come to the park...Pick out an *sshole and feed time."
At that exact moment his 6 or 7ish year old kid came running up and started petting Bola right in the face. Before the Ahole guy could even react Bola laid a nice slobbery smooch right across this kids face.
I again smiled and said "But hes just taste testing huh?! ....Maybe you should learn your facts before you open your mouth huh? Hes a dog and our family member, nothing more...nothing less. Have a great day!!"
The guy just told kind of gave me a look then told his kid it was time to leave and left. Not another word said.
I was grinning ear to ear. ;D
