I seem to torpedo her progress all the time.
I sprayed the back yard the other day for weeds, so the gate is closed and it's off-limits to dogs until further notice. Rocky and Lola caught on right away.
Anyway, sometimes when Sedona doesn't want to go out I carry her and drop her on the porch where she takes over and goes about her routine. Last night I did just that, and she takes off at full speed to the back, headed for certain zoomies that are desparately needed. I'm running behind her yelling "WAIT! WAIT!" (now, it's after midnight) to no avail and I hear her crash into the gate. :-[
Well, she wasn't hurt, but it sure killed the mood. I leashed her and took her for a pull instead. We can't just walk normal. Once that was done, she got nutty in the house and of course now I'm obligated to play with her since I'm such guilt-ridden caretaker. Didn't get to bed until 1:30.
Sure wish I had a normal life.
