So aida has been acting very different today.. I've been out of work for almost a month so its been pretty normal for her and I to lounge most the day but that's never interferred with her wanting to eat or go out to potty.
Today she's been extremely "lazy".. she's only been out to potty once (even with multiple attempts on my end), she's refusing to eat even with access to 3 full bowls of food (2 upstairs and 1 downstairs) and she's throwing up because of it (happens when she has an empty stomach).
Today has also been a very "off" day for myself, constant cramping and irregular contractions.. is it possible that she's acting this way because of me? She's not leaving my sight and if I leave the room she follows no matter where to.. I've heard of dogs being different when its close to labor time, is it really possible?

Has this been going on for a while or just today? I feel like you took her to the vet for this before....or am I thinking about another pup?

The general laziness started after my hours got cut at work, about a month ago. But today is the first day in that entire time that she hasn't wanted to eat or go out to potty.. she's seemed more concerned with staying as close as possible.
She's never been to the vet for anything like this before, in fact other than vaccines and a general check up she's never had any issues that waranted a vet trip..
I just find it odd that she's being like this all of a sudden and I don't know how to help her. On a side note all her other behavior is coompletely fine, still happy go lucky, barking at the mailman as per her normal routine, etc. She just won't eat or potty today

It definitely could be a medical issue. If she's still doing it tomorrow of if her symptoms worsen tonight, I'd take her to the vet.
That being said... this is exactly what happened with my best friend when she was pregnant. Her pit bull acted just like Aida the day before my friend had her baby. She'd started having irregular contractions, and the dog would not leave her side and had no interest in food.
You're due really soon, right? Could be a sign! ;D

IF she is lounging with you she must feel it and it is freaking her out I am sure. Rocky was freaked today because the water heater pipes were hammering again. He was quivering and following me every where. IF my body were sending out some vibe I am sure he would act odd. But I would still be concerned for it to be a health issue if he did it for more that the day.

Yes due christmas day actually so just 2 weeks away. But babies tend to come early in my family so I'm playing the waiting game for now..
Since I posted the response I decided to take her for a walk.. a very short one but still a walk lol. I let her off leash and she did a quick run and potty and came right back and started heading towards home.. so at least she pottied but she didn't even want to stay out and play.
My bf is on his way home so I'll see if she acts any different with him (he tends to be the one to take her out later in the day/evening).
She also finally acknowledged her food bowl.. only to attempt to bury it again though
I'm actually hoping she's giving me a heads up lol it'd be very welcomed

I say that she is staying very close to you is because she is picking up signals from you. Don't forget these intelligent dogs know how we are feeling emotionally , physically etc.. Your body language is telling her exactly what's going on and that you will be delivering sooer than your scheduled date.
She doesn't want to leave you that's why she rushed around to potty and poop, then back at your side. She is the REAL NANNY DOG !! lol !!
Best of luck !!

So I totally believe its my body that she's reacting to now, after everyone got home last night she was completely fine. She ate and went out to potty with no issues.
So far this morning, same thing as yesterday.. she didn't want to potty this morning and hasn't eaten yet, I'm definitely thinking she's just in tune.
She truely is my little "nanny dog" she loves it when my bf's daughter (just over a year old) is at our house, she follows her and watches her like a hawk. I can actually ask aida where her baby brother is and she will curl up next to me and lay her head across my belly.
But I do have a doc appt this afternoon so hopefully there's some progress being made and hopefully this little guy makes his arrival sooner than later lol my body is beyond sore
