I'm doing crazy do it your self renovation things to my bathroom that involve spray paint and polycrylic.
I think I have spray paint up my nose, but I can't do anything about it because I have acrylic paint all over my hands.
On the upside, the counter is starting to resemble granite

I'm a pro adoption person. Even though part of me would really like to get a dog with known history etc. I'm happy with my rescue dogs and accidental puppy. But I know people are going to breed their animals. We all know there are back yard breeder, puppy mills, and responsible breeder, breeders for the cash, or just want to experience a litter of pups. It's going to happen. You can preach all day about spay/neuter, but you won't change everyone's mind. And I'm ok with that. What I'm not ok with, is people like me, who put down and bitch at people who do breed their animals. That's really going to change someones mind isn't it? Make a person feel like sh!t is really going to make them go fix their animal?
Just had to have a bit of rant.

I am getting so sick of the rabid anti-breeder crowd! I support responsible breeding and responsible rescue and I wish that more rescue people could see that those are not mutually exclusive and the two can work together.

George is neutered and Matilda is spayed. Matilda hasn't realized she's 3 times his size, so when he steals her toys she goes in the corner and starts bitching till I go take them back.
I guess George doesn't realize she's 3 times his size? They were playing and he starts trying to hump and can't reach anything and just falls over

Holy crap. I'm beat!
Our work is partnering with a 1920's/Prohibition style bar in town. Yesterday was the soft VIP only opening. We all dressed up like Flappers and drank classic cocktails made with our products. I had 3 Mint Juleps (Bourbon, our Ginger Sweetshine, and muddled mint) SO, SO GOOD! I rarely ever go out and get all gussied up, so it was a total blast. Can't wait till Jim gets home so he can go with me!

I did some curly things to my hair today for fun and burnt my dumb hand with the curling iron. It's not a bad burn, but it hurts and I feel like pouting about it.

Meet Corwyn Henry. He's named after both grampas. I have to wait until Jan. 1 to meet him. It's going to be a long couple of weeks! I've waited a long time for my baby sister to have her own little one. She was 10 when I had my first baby, she was 28 when she held my first grandchild. *finally* I get to hold her baby now that I'm 42! lol

How did the paper bag floor process go? I've been tempted to do that in the dog room.

I'm doing the paper bag floor thing in the whole house, but it's kind of a pain in the ass. Lots of bending over and gluing and smoothing. I stained mine, then did the poly. I did the bathroom first since it's small as a learning process. You can't step on ANYTHING till the glue is 100% dry. You can't step on the stain till the next morning when it's tacking.
The upside is if you do bork it, you just glue another piece of paper down.
The fixtures and the cabinets were all spray painted and whoever designed my condo decided we never needed to open a window EVER which is super fun during hurricane season when you lose power for a week, so I was pretty fumed out a dopey for the night
