It was crazy crowded at yesterday's 40th Annual Old Port Festival, which is Maine's largest one day festival: Saxon did a stellar job! I was astonished at how well he did. We even met a guide dog! His name is Othello and he is his handler's 6th guide and is nearing retirement. Unfortunately, his handler is also going deaf and has started training him to do hearing tasks, as well. His handler was very kind and we chatted for a good long time. Saxon was so good with Othello. Othello sniffed him first so I gave Saxon the release command and he gently sniffed him back. He then laid down at Othello's feet while I chatted with his handler. It was pretty cool. I didn't get a great picture, but here's Saxon with Othello: I made Saxon some business cards to pass out to kids: but he ended up giving more to adults with questions than kids: I'm very proud of this adorable little dog!

Awesome, cat! You two make a perfect pair.
Crowds like that freak me right the hell out.

It's funny. Crowds don't bother me as much when it's outdoors. If there's a ceiling, then it freaks me out, but outdoors I'm ok. Unless the crowd is yelling or protesting. That scares me.
