The town where I go to college, the mayor there made a comment several years ago that all Pit Bulls are "born to be aggressive, both to humans and other dogs." or something to that effect. This came on the heels of a pit bull who had attacked a mail carrier. The dog had been in its own yard the year before playing with its family when another mail carrier had sprayed the dog with mace. If I had been that pit bull I would have attacked too. However that is neither here nor there, the mayor has since been voted out of office but he wanted the police, animal control and the shelter workers to seize any dog that looked like a pit bull and then do blood work such as the dog DNA test. The former AC officer asked him who was going to fund this and if all the dogs seized were to be returned to their owners if they were not pit bulls
