Will this even work at all?

I am picking up a female amstaff puppy in a few days. She is around 8 weeks old and her living situation isn't ideal. This guy has about 11 puppies and nobody is taking them. I have been looking for an excersize partner and agility/rally prospect so this could be it I hope.

I currently have a very old almost deaf and almost blind female boxer. Her world is eating, sleeping, and pooping but mostly sleeping.

My second dog is an 8 month old female boston terrier. She has had hip dysplasia since she was 12 weeks. I bought her at 8 weeks for agility and an excersize partner. Unfortunately she will probably never be those things, she can't keep up. She is having her second hip surgery in a couple months as she is still healing from the first. She will be spayed at that point as well.

My boston is a dominant dog. Trained to do many tricks. Some she can no longer do because of hip pain
She tries to play with my old boxer and when she gets no response she starts barking at her and acting frustrated. Of course she is immediately stopped before it gets to that point but sometimes I don't catch it if im in another room.

I have two questions... first of all what is the best way to punish this boston puppy when she goes into rough high intensity play mode on my boxers face (I currently say no and touch her on the neck then move her off my boxers face and put her feet back on the floor) i don't want it to turn into aggressive behavior.

and second question, is adding another female puppy a total recipe for disaster? I don't want the amstaff to kill my boston one day when she is bigger if they got into a fight. Maybe I should just foster and find a good home??? I honestly don't have experience with pit bull breeds. Just owned poodles, boxer, boston, and labs growing up and up until this point.

This breed can be dog aggressive, so if you have a crotchety female Boston adding a female pit bull to the mix is taking a chance. You can room rotate the dogs for the rest of their lives if they don't get along. Do you want to do that? It's a 50 50 chance they will or will not get along..
My male lived with 2 female other breed dogs fine, but I shopped for adult dogs so their personality and temperment were set.

Thank you for the reply. I picked up the puppy at 6 weeks. She is very sweet. She has some guarding issues and plays aggressive towards other dogs I can see already. I wanted her to stay with her mother longer but she was living in filthy conditions so I took her. I contacted a dog behavior trainer. I will be bringing her out for sessions and socialization. The trainer sounds hopefull that we can change this behavior. We will see.

Pit bull puppies play rough, so don't mistake it for aggression. Research your trainers before you let anyone work with your dog-a hard physical trainer will ruin a puppy .... go for a positive reward trainer who know ans deals with this breed.
Where do you live so we can try to help you get the right trainer ?
All puppies get along with adult dogs. .. once the puppy starts to mature is when their temperment starts to really come out

The puppy is 7 weeks old and snapping at our Boston over objects like antlers and toys. The Boston lets the puppy latch on to her face. It looks painful. The pitbull plays so aggressively. The trainer I found is positive reinforcement. This puppy is so young and already acts aggressive. It really is scary. The only dog trainer in my area is an hour away. Living in the middle of nowhere has a lot of disadvantage.
