Hi guys, my amstaff girl is 1 years old now and still poops in the house. I hear all these stories from everyone else about how their dogs were potty trained within a few months and I have no idea why my girl is still potty-ing at home.
I work from home so I take her out often and most of the time she sleeps through the night but once in a while she will poop while we're sleeping and will even poop in her crate sometimes overnight. It also took much longer than a couple months for her to stop peeing at home but hasn't done so in a while. I leave the house most days for about 5-6 hours and I am always nervous that I will come back to a poopy house.
I always praise her when she pottys outside and I know she knows she's supposed to go outside because she will stand and scratch at the door when she needs to go when I'm home but when I'm not around or sleeping, I have no idea why she still poops.
Her trainer said it's because she has a nervous/nosy temperament and has separation issues. When I'm home she follows me EVERYWHERE. Is this a bad habit for her? Aren't all pitties very attached to their owners?
Thanks!!

Hey there! I'm no expert by any means but I'll try to help as much as I can. First off, how much space does she have in her crate? I've found that lessening the amount of space makes it uncomfortable for them to poop where they will have to lay.
