I kinda saw it coming because he is SO BAD at keeping surprises secret. I had been telling a good friend of mine for the past two weeks, "OMG Scott is acting weird and kinda dropping hints, I think he is going to ask me to marry him". I thought it was going to be next month on my birthday because we were planning on going to the Poconos (he surprised me with the trip). ANYway, he told me he was taking me to "our" restaurant last night. I was out during the day, and come home to a dozen roses. Ok....then we went out to eat, and even though he seemed calm, I actually texted my friend during dinner when Scott got up to go to the bathroom, that I thought he was going to ask me - I just 'felt' it. We ate dinner - with champagne, another hint LOL - and then we walked out of the restaurant, into the little outdoor gazebo area (this is a pavilion where weddings are held, as well as a restaurant), and he said a few things, which to be honest are a blur because I suddenly realized he was going to ask me, but I know he said how great we've been for each other and how much our lives have changed since we've been together. Then he pulled out the ring, and got down on one knee!!!! I said yes I am in LOVEEEEEEE with the ring, he did SO GOOD ;D The band is white gold, the diamond is round, the setting is just amazing. So yeah, I am walking on cloud nine right now.

Oh, congrats! My SO has a thing against marriage (probably because his parents were such great role models), but we have a sort-of commonlaw thing for about 7 years now and own a house together. You'll have to let me know how REAL marriage is. Haha.

I'm always the last one to the party! LOL! So what tho! Mary's gettin hitched! *squeeeeezzzzzeeee!* Congratulations chica! I can see how you could be on cloud 9 honey... I was almost there just readin about that proposal! How romantical! ;D I love the idea of a beach wedding. Brad and I toyed with that, but then when he took me out to see the Angel Oak when my oldest boy was here for a visit... I KNEW that I had found my perfect chapel. The tree is said to be an estimated 1500 years old! Truly an awesome sight to behold.

I wouldn't mind a very old, historical chapel, maybe NEAR a beach My fam is kinda old school Catholic and I could see them having a problem with me not getting married *in* a church. I would love having the reception at least on/near the beach. I am very 'close with' the ocean, the sea shore is where I feel most at home, and for some reason I just feel like the 'big things' in life should happen near the sea.
