Oh. My. DOG! I was surprised when the NFL reinstated him. I was shocked

when a prominent team signed him. I am absolutely FLOORED that arguably the largest sports product company in the world has decided that he should represent their company. Start writing your letters to Nike, because this is just disgusting. All parties refuse to discuss any of the financial details of the deal, but we all know what kind of money these endorsements bring sports stars.

The most disturbing thing about this is that Nike is implicitly condoning dog fighting. Vick is a convicted dog fighter and animal abuser. His image and reputation will ALWAYS be associated with dog fighting. His celebrity will be used to sell Nike's product to young people who will be getting the message that the culture of dog fighting is cool and accepted.

And as someone point out on another board, giving him sneakers and having him wear them IS an endorsement. He has enough money to buy his own f'ing shoes.
