YES! We are already in the early planning stages for 2010's Pit Bull-palooza. We will post continual updates here. Here's some of what we know now:- We hope to hold the event in September (sometime after Labor Day)
- This year's event will be focused on fundraising and entertainment for HUMANS. It will be a dog-free, indoor event.
- We plan on having food and drinks.
- Music (at least a DJ, and we are attempting to entice local band talent to join us for the cause.
- Speakers
- Raffle
- A fun night of socializing with like-minded people, celebration of the breed, networking, and fun!
What we need so far:- Volunteers wanting to get involved in ALL capacities.
- High-end donations for raffle (think art, electronics, sports tickets, gift certificates, etc).
- Advertising/word of mouth.
- Band talent.
- Speakers.
- Decorations and banner.
For out-of-staters, start thinking now about attending! If we have enough interest, an after-event brunch at a local diner or restaurant might be a fun time. We are also open to all ideas and suggestions. We want this to be a wonderful, successful bash that is not only meant to support RPB and the breed, but to also celebrate all the wonderful people who are a part of our lives and the lives of Pit Bulls. |

Maybe bring info on TDI hopefully have some photos and stories by then. Will have to think what else I can come up with.
Is it dog free because of last years experience or do you think it will be more social for humans with out dogs.

Matt prolly be able to find a hotel where you can bring the dogs dont have to leave em home just cant bring to event.

Well, my boyfriend has a band but they aren't exactly family-friendly. If you ever want to have a punk concert for a fundraiser, let me know. Could be something to do in conjunction with Pin Ups for Pit Bulls or something. We do have a PA and sound board though, so don't rent one until you talk to me.
What kind of speakers do you want? Maybe I can help think of some people.

I want to have a "Wall of Pit Bull Pride" which will showcase therapy dogs, CGC's, any dogs with titles/certificates of any kind, dogs who have graduated Pit Bull School classes, etc. If anyone attending or not would like to showcase their dog, I would need a hard-copy photo mailed to me, with a description of title/certificates, dog's name, and owner's name. |

We will be doing CGC testing and other dog-related activities all during the year and feel that the organization and community would be best served by organizing a people-only fundraiser for this year's Pit Bull-palooza. We all need a little bit of a break, some time to have fun and socialize and just kick back. The theme this year is GALA EVENT! |
