CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & INFO
* Click Bulls! Clicker training & breed basics
class. Learn the basics of this humane,
modern training method. You'll be able to take
what you learn and apply it to training in a
variety of circumstances.
COST: $50 for six, 1-hr classes. Free for
shelter and rescue workers attending with a
dog from their organization.
Curriculum:
Week 1: Orientation – HUMANS ONLY! Bring a pen, notepad, and if you wish, a lawn chair (recommended).
Week 2: Sit, Stay, Zen4Dogs (self-control), Leash Yielding (loose leash walking)
Week 3: Down, Recall, Watch
Week 4: Leave It, Stand
Week 5: Drop It, Place, How to Phase Out the Clicker
Week 6: Varying Rewards, Phasing Out Food

*CGC Prep: - This class builds upon what was
learned in Click Bulls! and preps for the Canine
Good Citizen test which will be given at the
end of the 4th class. Each week we will cover
specific CGC exercises and do mock-tests to
help you and your dog prepare for certification.
The CGC test will be given at the end of class
on the 4th week.
Prerequisite: Click Bulls! Class
COST: $50 for 4, 1-hr classes which includes
the CGC test (AKC submission fee additional).

*Strut Your Stuff (SYS): - If your dog still has
trouble with strong pulling, or leash-reaction,
we may recommend taking an additional Click
Bulls! class before you try out SYS. SYS is a
way to build skill in ‘real world’ environments
as we venture out on training walks around
town in Garwood and Cranford. We will work
on loose leash walking, responding to random
cues in distracting environments, and exercise
our dogs all at the same time. In addition, this
class will act as positive public exposure to the
breed as we show off our well-mannered Pit
Bulls practicing their skills.
Prerequisite: Click Bulls! Class
COST: $25 for 3, 1-hr classes.

* Leash Manners - Learn the "Leash Yielding"
training method for teaching your dog to walk
nicely on lead.
Prerequisite: Click Bulls! Class
COST: $20/per dog for one, 1-hr class. Free for
shelter and rescue workers attending with a
dog from their organization.

* Total Recall & Stay Solid - Teaching your dog
to come NO MATTER WHAT. Based on Leslie
Nelson's Really Reliable Recall. This class will
give you the tools you need to train that perfect
recall. Then work on building a solid STAY,
even around distractions.
Prerequisite: Click Bulls! Course
COST: $20/per dog for one, 1-hr class. Free for
shelter and rescue workers attending with a
dog from their organization.
*Pit Bull Promenade – Our end of season fundraiser and public-awareness walk. All dogs who have passed the CGC test (either through Pit Bull School or through another venue) are welcome to join this walk through beautiful downtown Cranford. This is a great opportunity to show the community how well-behaved and loving the breed can be, as well as draw awareness to Pit Bulls in general and will be a great opportunity to educate as we make “Pit stops” along the way.
COST: FREE, but we encourage participants to get sponsorships to help raise funds for The Real Pit Bull, Inc.
