If you liked Taken, you should check out Harry Brown (Netflix has it on instant). It's a bit more violent and gruesome than Taken, but it has Michael Caine in it, which makes it awesome.

I saw that fat, sick nearly dead doc. It is inspiring, that's for sure.. My uncle used to drink a fresh juiced glass of fruits and veggies every morning for his breakfast. I don't know if he still does, but I'm guessing he does. He is about 10 yrs older than my dad (70 or so) and looks far younger than my dad. He is also has no health issues, unlike my dad.

Just watched a really interesting movie called Microcosmos. It's a French movie about insects and such filmed using microscopic cameras. It has very little narration and is mostly just music with bugs. It's about an hour and 10 minutes long and it's really cool. There was one scene where a carnivorous sundew plant consumes a fly. Really neat! If you have a fear of spiders, though, it may be a bit scary there are two spider scenes.

Yes, you can watch it right online. It's pretty neat. At first I thought it wouldn't hold my interest, but it really did!

Saw Blue Valentine...and got really really depressed afterwards. *sigh* Just a warning! I saw it and was depressed that it wasn't depressing!!!!!! LOL I was all set for this huge tearjerker, and it just ended up annoying me Ya know, I just watched Scent of a Woman for the first time ever the other night, which is weird because it's such a widely referenced movie, I'm a movie , and I love Al Pacino. Nothing whatsoever like I expected but I liked it a lot. Very touching, and I loved the ending!!!

I didn't expect it to be a tear-jerker, but the arguments were very real, the feelings of growing into such different people...I don't know. It may have caught me on a bad night of my relationship lol
I really liked Scent of a Woman

Last night I watched Bridesmaids which I thought was really cute (not really LOL worthy but I enjoyed it; def a rip-off of sorts of The Hangover).
I also watched Kevin Smith's new movie Red State which I honestly just.....didn't quite get. And I'm a Kevin Smith fan. I just think maybe he needs to stick to comedy..........

Just got out of Contagion. Really artfully done movie. There are a lot of montage-type scenes where you are left with your thoughts and some unsettling music. In the end, despite the problem basically being resolved, I was still left feeling rather nervous. It all blows up so quickly. It could totally happen here. Any way, the acting was good, the cinematography really made you think and I enjoyed the film. Now I'm going to go take a bath in hand sanitizer...
