Recently saw 'Grave Encounters'. If you can get past the two or three instances of cheesy cgi 'scary face' it is actually pretty unsettling and atmospheric. The fiance who tends to laugh at most 'found footage' films thought it was pretty creepy. Its one of those movies that make you a little jumpy in the dark afterwards, lol.

I watched The Mist yesterday. SO good! Can't believe I waited so long to watch it. The end was rough, though. The movie ending was much better than King's short story ending. Rough indeed. King later admitted he wish he had thought of that ending. I really loved that movie. Marcia Gay Harden plays religious nut like nobody's business!

Just saw "The Devil's Double" about the body double of Uday Hussein (son of Saddam). Uday was a sadist to the full degree and crazy as hell. Intense movie (not for the squeamish!!)
Saw Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol last night. I really liked it. Lots of action and so many jumping and fighting scenes it makes you want to go to the gym! lol They also showed about 7 minutes from the upcoming Batman movie. Bane was in it. Could not understand a single freaking word he said because he had that mask thing on over his mouth. Literally, not one word! I hope they decide to dub him for the release, because people are going to be pissed!

Saw Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. Amazing! lol "He's heavy for half a guy. " That movie is brilliant. I love it so much. Over the weekend I watched Stay, which has Ewen McGregor and Ryan Gosling in it, two of my fave actors, so it's really weird that I hadn't heard of it until just recently. Sad and well done, about psychosis and suicide.

Watched Sherlock Holmes 2 last night. I liked it, but it had a different feel from the first movie. I think I liked the first one better. I loved Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law in both, I think it was perfectly cast!

I watched Army of Darkness last night. The question is WHY did I watch Army of Darkness, last night or at any other time?

I watched Army of Darkness last night. The question is WHY did I watch Army of Darkness, last night or at any other time? No, the question is why hadn't you ALREADY seen Army of Darkness? It's so wonderfully awful.

It's so wonderfully awful. Well, it's certainly awful! The back and forth between playing it self-consciously campy vs playing it straight was just annoying.
