Saw Haywire on Tuesday (with the star and director for a Q&A after) and really liked it. I won't say the story is amazing or super solid...but hell yeah Gina Carano kicked some major booty (and looked fab doing it!). I know she was beaten to a pulp by Cyborg in the last major fight, but I love Gina as a symbol that you can be smart, pretty and still be able to kick a guy in the chest until he flies 10 feet backwards into a wall.

I watched Ides of March, War Horse and Breaking Dawn (barf!) over the weekend. First two were ok, I liked War Horse. Breaking Dawn...honestly, total CRAP.
Oh yeah, recently I also watched Paranormal Activity 3 - total waste of my time. Also Exorcismus. <-- Good story idea, bad acting and blah script.

Yeah, Paranormal Activity 3 was just really trying in some spots (try watching Grave Encounters, I thought of you when I saw it. Not great, but not too bad). I did like the part in PA3 with the kitchen stuff crashing down

^ The kitchen crash scared the crap out of me. The other thing that creeped me out so bad was the sheet falling flat behind the babysitter.
I saw Grave Encounters. It was ok, I had thought it would be more scary. Just didn't do anything for me, which is surprising, because it had all the elements of a movie that would make me sleep with the TV on.
Lady in Black coming out next month looks interesting.....

I loved the first half of Grave Encounters poking fun at all the ghost hunting shows "I feel...a presence is with us. Haha! That was good right!" I laughed my butt off at those scenes. Like I said, not great but I thought it had some spooky parts. Not hearing great things about Lady in Black

I watched Devil's Double. Aside from the torture scenes which I really couldn't watch, I really liked this movie. Wasn't what I expected. Almost wish I had watched it sooner!
Also saw a movie called I Melt With You. About 4 college buddies who made a blood oath and what happens when they all get together for a guys' week and everyone starts mentally unravelling. Interesting movie, I liked it.

Just watched Groundhog Day again last night. We actually bought it on Blue Ray because it wasn't on Netflix instant watch this year and Bull Moose sold out of their DVD copies. I love that movie so much, there are so many great scenes!

Yeah, the movie is like an emotional roller coaster, there are quite a few sad parts that I didn't remember.

The Descendants - cute movie, some LOL moments. I def enjoyed it.
The Rum Diary - had zero expectations going in, but I ended up loving this movie. Made me LOL hard several times.

Finally saw "50/50". Actually really really liked it. They didn't try to overdramatize it, while still keeping it very heartfelt.
Dying to see "Cabin in the Woods". Heard amazing things about it.
