I'm not a crossposter, besides for friends, but I've been chatting with this gal Molly who is fostering for Second Time Around Mutts in Indiana, and I felt compelled to try and get the word out on Molly's current foster dog, Pepper. She is not generating any interest but the dog sounds AWESOME and like a great potential breed amabassador. Check her out:

Thanks for checking in! Pepper had potential adopters, but the family had a previous surrender to a shelter due to the dog being hyper and not neutered, plus they were hesitant to give their vet's phone number 3 times. The gals who run Second Time Around Mutts are very cautious about who we adopt our fosters to, so the family's application was denied (last I heard). Pepper also survived heartworm treatment 2 months ago, so we are very protective of her being apopted by a home that is serious about going to the vet and paying for monthly preventatives. I have learned so much from fostering these sweet dogs from the shelter. Pepper is an amazing miracle dog! She is a cuddle-bug and must sleep between my husband and I every night. Also, she is terrified of cages (she was kept as a breeding dog...in a cage...broke her teeth on cage when she was dumped at shelter) and LOVES car rides and is the most amazing, loving dog to my children and other dogs (and doesn't bother our bird or rabbit). She was just spayed today and is not feeling so well, God love her! If you know anyone who is seeking an adult (4-5 yrs), low key dog like Pepper, send them my way, please. I will drive or meet halfway if that's what it takes. She is on our website www.secondtimearoundmutts.com and on petfinder under our rescue name. Thank you for your interest in Pepper! Just the fact that you checked in, means a great deal to me!
