If you all remember a while back I was supposed to be getting a little boxer/pibble mix puppy named Callie.... Well after almost a month of not hearing anything about her I assumed she found a good home, well I was very wrong.
My friend texted me today, she is still living with my friends grandparents and things have gotten much worse for her... Apparently she's being beaten everyday now and it's getting more severe.
Now, here's where I'm stuck... I refuse to leave her there obviously. But my fiance's parents won't let me keep another dog there, especially with all the damage my 2 have already caused. But I don't want to get her and immediately adopt her out (she has no shots yet and hasn't been spayed) because I won't know her personality is a fit for the person. If by chance I can find someone to "foster" her for me I don't know what to do about her medical costs (I have no idea if she has broken bones or any serious injuries... I do know for sure though that she needs ALL her shots).
I can't afford to take on another puppy at this point but my heart and head keep telling me I can't leave her there.
Is there any chance a rescue would be able to help out with medical costs, or maybe the humane society if I pay them back or have a contract with them that they get all adoption money when she finds a forever home??
I really need some advice on this one. I'm so torn between everything right now.

Can you call AC and claim the dog is being abused? Will they attempt to adopt her out if she is seized?

OMG, that is horrible news!!!! If it's really as bad as it sounds, you need to call AC and get an officer out there, like, yesterday.

Agreed! That puppy needs to be removed from that environment ASAP. Call AC.

Call Animal Control and tell them you have been told that a small puppy is being beaten and abused. Please call them now.
may those people rot in hell for doing this to poor little Callie, but call AC right this second!

I'm sure you can find a cheaper alternative to the vet regarding shots and spaying (like ASPCA or petco), but the most important thing right now is to get that pup out of that house.

I am so sorry that Callie is still in such an awful situation! I think that everyone here has good advice. At this point you should probably call AC.

Shay, please keep us posted on poor little Callie. We are all concerned about her, and anxiously awaiting to hear she is safe.
Thank you so much for looking into this and making sure this poor little dog will be taken care of.

It's sad to say, but if the allegations are true, the dog is better off euthanized than abused. People are sick f'ing creatures.

havent heard any news on her today, but my friend has been keeping her very close to her so that nothing can happen til i can get her outta there... I've been looking into shelters but can't find any so far that will help me.
I'm really good friends with county sherrifs out here so they'll be able to help me with everything and I've just been waiting on a phone call back from them.
I just feel like I can't leave Callie there, I'm also trying to convince my fiance's parents to let me keep her there til I find her a home but I'm just having a really hard time right now with my own 2.
Hopefully I'll ahve better news about her tomorrow... I have quite a few people looking for homes for her, all fo which I will do careful examination of to make sure she's never in this situation again.
I'm starting to think I have a calling for these guys (which I guess is one good side of things) since I keep getting phone calls about all the local pibbles that need help...

I was up all night working on this whole thing with Callie and it paid off... around 1 o'clock this morning she got a new home...
She was taken in by my friends, moms, friend lol. She is in a much better home now. Finally. This poor pup needed a sage haven and she finally got it.
