When trying to teach Lucy to roll over via shaping and the clicker today I inadvertently taught her to lay on her side and twitch her leg. It looks like she is having a seizure lol. This is going to be hard, she hates being on her back, which is why I want to teach her this, so she is more comfortable in general. LOLOL!! Oh no ;D I'm sorry, it's just funny. I wish I had a visual.

Just bought a clicker today. I printed out the training steps from www.clickerlessons.com. So I am ready to start soon. One question is: Since I have two dogs I want to do it with both of them since they are the same age and they are always together.....should I condition/train them seperatly or together??

One question is: Since I have two dogs I want to do it with both of them since they are the same age and they are always together.....should I condition/train them seperatly or together?? separately, absolutely. You'll confuse them; they'll be competing with each other rather than listening; they learn at different rates etc etc. You should give them individual time with you in any case: separate walks, play, cuddles (while the other is in a different room or at home while you go out) Now I find that AFTER I have taught my dogs something, I can work them on exercises consecutively or together. But it's rarely anything other than sit/down/stay.

Thanks emilys! I'm excited to finally get started. Since I have adopted my two I have been wanting to do the CT but never could find a store that wasn't sold out of Clickers. So today on my to trip to walmart (I always check in the pet isle just in case) I found a clicker in stock FINALLY!!

I started clicker training the other day. Bella responds so quickly to it. Working on distraction now. This is a great way to train and so far pretty simple.
