Ok, so I admit this thread is in response to a negative one on another forum and I wanted to counteract the crap I read over there and encourage people to support and purchase from PitBullShirt.com. PitBullShirt.com/Tommy Pop Art have created a very straightforward fundraising process for 501(c)3 organizations. It costs NOTHING out of pocket! For small orgs that are scraping funds together to just feed dogs, you KNOW how wonderful "nothing out of pocket" is. Each month, a percentage of their sales profits goes towards a designated rescue organization. When you buy one of their shirts, just indicate that you are purchasing to benefit the designated org. And at the end of the month, the money raised through sales goes directly (and very speedily!) to the org. Examples of orgs that have received money in the past: The Real Pit Bull, Our Pack, Villa Lobos, and New Hope PBR. Tommy and Sharon do this because they love the breed and animals in general and want to help make a difference. If a particular org on a particular month doesn't strike your fancy, don't buy a shirt that month! Wait to see who will benefit next month! It's that simple! Publically condeming a small business because one month you happen to not agree with a benefiting org's mission is in pretty poor taste, IMO, esp. when this company is actively supporting Pit Bull rescue EACH AND EVERY MONTH of the year!

I have no energy left for arguing, the BS, all the petty stuff that in the grand scheme makes no difference. Are dogs being helped? Yes? Then STFU and STFD!!!!

I'm not a part of any other forums at the moment, because this forum is the only one that I have found that I really like. I used to be a part of other forums, but they always advocated for things I disagreed with or were not as positive as everyone here on RPB. I can't imagine anyone having anything negative to say about PitBullShirt.com. I admit, I don't like all of their t-shirt designs (IMO, some of them send the wrong message), but they help pit bull rescue groups and that is great!

Christina you said you think some of their shirts send the wrong message....which ones? That was something that someone on the other forum said....I just went on to pitbullshirt.com and did not see anything...was it an old one that perhaps I missed? Curious....thanks lady!

I'm curious, too! Personally I have no issues with any of their designs. I thought they were all upbeat, cute, but not TOO cutesy.

Like I said, it's just my opinion. I do like most of the designs! I just think that skulls and dice and motorcycles can send that "tough guy" message that can be damaging for the breed. But Rescue Ink is a great group and they have that "tough guy" attitude. So I don't know. I just know that I wouldn't want to wear a shirt that associates pit bulls with skulls that have horns ( www.tommypopart.com/BornToLiveTShirt.html ).

I understand where you are coming from, for sure. Personally, I like the shirts because they are a *little* edgey. I love cutesy stuff as much as the next girly-girl, but I occasionally reach my fill of "cute pwetty pittie smooshy snuggums wuggums" and need me some skulls and tattoos! Heehee

the problem the others are having is that the DDB group is showing on there, and alot of folks are against the unchaining ideas that DDB has.... its not the shirts themselves, its that the DDB group is shown on the pitbullshirt site and that is what has people's panties in a bunch. as far as skulls and stuff for shirts, i too get tired of the cutesy stuff and like to change it with skulls and such.. besides, rufus has a few skull collars and shirts, and no one has ever said anything negative about his attire or mine

Missed that shirt Christina thanks for posting! I can see how that is geared towards rescue ink.
Unlike Mary I prefer all things cutesy like care bears over skulls etc...LOL

ME, you're right, they are ripping apart DDB over there, and the thread should not even mention PitBullShirt.com IMO, because they are mostly just talking about DDB.
Still, the thread title is derogatory and inflammatory towards a company that supports a lot of good rescue groups. Just find that Pit Bull people shoot themselves in the foot too often (I've been guilty of same!) Time to chill out, a little, IMO.
