BTW my mom lives in walking distance from me. Like a city block. In the country. So any dog will basically be my dog. I will be the trainer. And nanny. LOL

Sedona is very strong and active (although she does settle nicely and crates beautifully) and needs someone who wants a bit of a project (she is NOT a ready-made dog). I'm not sure what your mom is looking for in terms of temperament. ???
She cannot go to a home with kids or where kids will frequent (teens who are dog savvy are doable).

I realize she is not ready made. No rescue is. My mom would be looking for a cuddle dog that pays attention to her. She would not be running but she is looking for a dog to take walks with. I do have kids who are soon to be 21 and 16. My older one is away at college most of the year and the younger one does not have frequent visitors. A few friends that all have dogs and know Rocky and our rules well.

Sedona is very affectionate! She is definitely a dog that will cuddle once she warms up to you. She likes cuddling with me by sitting on my lap and being upside down. I like the idea of her living in a relatively quiet home, and being a single dog, but also having the option of visiting with others who will not overwhelm her, be patient, etc, (like your family )

I'd also really love it if she went with a friend or family member.

Ok well we ill have to keep in touch about it and keep us in mind as I will keep her in mind and talk with my mom more about her. This would be an after holidays thought. It would just be her and my mom. I know you heard me talk of my dad and his Ausies. My parents are divorced. But they get along. And he would be more than happy to help her with any issues. He has been doing agility for like 20 years now. Occasional overnight visitors. (friends of my mom). I am an only child so my kids are it for grand kids. And Rocky of course. My mom is 65 and pretty active. She likes to take walks through town. Just not in cold weather. LOL.

We will definitely keep in touch about this! I'm in no rush to place her and I would definitely feel good knowing she went to a home where you'd be involved. My only concern would be the fact that she is such a young and strong dog, I'm not sure if she would be a little much for a senior. Of course, that would really depend on the senior.

Sedona is an Ikea dog: Directions can be a little confusing at first, gets easier the more you just give it a try, you may either be missing a little part or end up with an extra part but the end result is usually really really nice (and no one will believe where you got it!)
