Today was the home check for Zeke. I ended up taking Zeke with me. It was the best decision I made all day. It went really well. Zeke was a charming little pit bull who behaved very nicely. The family has a 4 yr old boy who is full of energy, and who really liked Zeke. Zeke liked the boy too. I think he did really well for not being around any (smaller) children for at least 10 months... Over all I feel good about the family, and it would be a good home for Zeke. I don't know yet if they are going to adopt him. They are going to talk it over and let me know. The big thing right now is teaching the little boy the proper way to be around dogs so everyone gets along safely. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Now more than ever before, do I want to see Zeke in a home of his own!

that's sounds great! There are some wonderful resources for teaching dogs and kids how to be around each other. www.doggonesafe.com/I know there are some books too; maybe one of the other folks can suggest something you can suggest to them?

Thanks! That link is really a great resource and should be stickied somewhere if it isn't!
