wow! what about enticing Martina to present? You need someone from NoCal other than you know who... Exactly what I was thinking! Definitely need to get Marthina to present. And if she came, then I bet Tracey would too. That would be awesome! ETA: Not that the presenters on the list so far are not TOTALLY fantastic! I'm definitely going to have to make it out there for this. Hey, at least I can save money by staying with my parents!

This sounds like it'd be so fun to see.
In July, hmmm... work shouldn't be too busy around then so maybe I could make it to this! Time to start researching for pet friendly hotel rooms, and finding home sitters just in case lol.

also, how about a short "SBT" vs APBT, since so many tiny APBTs are tagged as SBT and OTOH, more legitmate SBTs are showing up in rescue. I know lots of SBT folks in SoCal that could help

and of course because Mary couldn't possibly have any ideas of her own, I'm also going to suggest a panel about "pit bull pinking".. would be tres cool to hear "old timers" like Tia and Mary discuss pro's/cons, maybe with some newcomers...

Bumping and sticky-ing this again. The conference got pushed back, but we are shooting for a Spring 2012 date. I will update this continually as we solidify plans.

Would anyone be willing to share pictures of dogs that represent variations we currently see in the breed? We'd be using these pix in a slideshow.
Some categories would be:
American Bully Gamebred UKC Show AKC Show BYB
Etc.
Posting them to this thread would be best.

I would REALLY like to go to this.
Full body pics? You could probably use Sedona as a gamebred example. I have to look and see if I have a good pic of Lola as a BYB example.

OK cool. And yes, you need to come out for this! We are trying to get a date set ASAP to allow people as much time as possible to plan for a trip.

Looking forward to hearing more about this, as I would love to send some of our staff and volunteers. Some of the volunteers in particular see to be coming under the sway of the pinker movement. Sucks enough that that is happening elsewhere. I'll be damned if it'll happen at my home shelter.

In Los Angeles, not sure exactly where yet, Cinimon is still working on getting a venue. Probably a hotel.

In Los Angeles, not sure exactly where yet, Cinimon is still working on getting a venue. Probably a hotel. OK, don't see any staff making it out that far (except myself, possibly), but would like to convince at least two of our volunteers. I can get pics of bazoodles of shelter Pit Bulls and Pit Mixes, as well as dogs of other breeds like Cane Corsos that commonly are, but really shouldn't be, confused with Pit Bulls.
