8 1/2 year old male neutered pit mix for adoption in NJ.. retired therapy dog... CGC, TT... housebroken, crate trained, good with some male dogs, better with female. easy keeper...loves the company of living with another compatible dog, has some SA issues when there are no other dogs in the house, worse when downstairs next door idiot girls fight and throw stuff and yell.... fine when they dont fight.... loves to sleep in bed under covers...
eats wood, carpets, wood , molding, door jams, wood........
today owner came home and carpet at bottom of stairs is destroyed... owner is moving in 2 days ..... another $$$$ to come out of her pocket for the damage he has done... he looked at her like hi mom i didnt do it i swear......
free to good home, will deliver anywhere in the USA ...and if you guess who this dog is i will personally drive him to your house and drop him off with all his stuff..... including destroyed carpet and door molding reminants......

Yeah, I know who it is. SA is one of the most frustrating and difficult behaviors to combat. My heart goes out to you both.

he is fine with another dog here, just hates being by himself grrrrrrrr.... i am taking him to work tomorrow morning since i am taking a half day to move more of my stuff to my new place, so he wont be able to destroy anything else as tonight is the last night i am sleeping here. i will be back sunday to get the rest of my furniture with friends who are moving my furniture that i cant move myself, so at least he cant do any more damage lol.....

And you know I like the brindles! Maybe you just need to take Sedona. That'll solve two problems.

bwahaha! Sorry to laugh, ME. I completely empathize with the frustration of having your home destroyed by a dog with extreme SA.

ditto on the destruction due to SA.....anything not nailed down in my house is fair game...come to think of it even if it was nailed down I am sure Harley would make a valiant attempt to seek out and destroy.

I know what it's like, I went through it for eight plus years with j Jackson. Another brindle... coincidence?
Jackson had two or three buddies most of his life, all during the time he was suffering from SA. Once he hit about eight years old he quieted down alot, and really it only popped up periodically later in life. Exercise helped, the treadmill was the best aid. A switch to raw diet pretty much marked the end of it for several years, and it was sporadic after I switched back. I don't really know what stopped it.
I wish I had some magical insight, ME.

My dad suggested you get him a cat. He did that for his dog and it helped. Or do you already have a cat?

Gee, I wonder if there's some gorgeous, fabulous, wonderful adoptable dog out there that Rufus would totally fall in love with. I wonder if that dog would need a home with someone who is experienced and knowledgeable about pit bulls. I wonder if that dog's name is............. SEDONA!

sedona would be perfect but she really needs a yard with no traffic of any kind. where i live there is no yard and tons of people/cars etc which when she was here she had a really hard time with it all. unless mary works wonders with her and gets her to get over her fear of the world ...... or i get a sugar daddy who buys me my dream house with a huge fenced in yard.....
