I stopped by the shelter Saturday to do some computer fixing (they've always got a problem) so I toured the various rooms and caught up with what's going on. I met Nore', and although he's a nice, healthy, active dog, he's not a pit bull, more a lab mix. He was a little unfocused while I visitied, not really into me, so I lost my attraction. I browsed the kennels, and then fell in love. (And I don't use the word lightly.) I came across a new girl, a pocket pit, that was a bundle of energy. She's young, and absolutely focused on me when I stood outside her run. She's a doll, so pretty, and with more personality that can fit in her little body. All kisses and no bite. I couldn't get a decent picture, she was always moving, but I got a face shot... I need a third dog like, well, I don't need one. But she's everything I look for in a dog. I may have to go back and check her out. It would be nice to have a NORMAL dog, I haven't had one in a while, not since Boo Boo. But it may not be up to me.

Yeah, I am in trouble..
We took in 6 pit bulls last week from one home. They (the owners, not the dogs) were evicted when the landlord found out, there was a "no dogs" rule on the home.
People are idiots.
We were able to make room by sending out two older dogs for foster, but these 6 dogs take up alot of space. They're frightened, BIG, but not really any trouble. All intact. I told the director no dog goes back to the owners that way. If I have to, I'll pay for the two spays.
Little Sheba (I just found out her name) got bumped to the kennels because one of the intakes needed her inside space. She's not even forty pounds. Harley sized!

Maybe you could foster her! I think I remember you saying that Rocky doesn't do well with other males. How is Lola with females?

Lola hasn't really taken notice of other dogs in the past. She actually doesn't interact even with Rocky, much, other than using him as a bed warmer, and she totally ignores the neighbor's Brittany. When stressed, she tends to lash out, so I don't put her in stressful situations. I don't think she'd be a problem.
I started things up by bringing her scent home on my clothes, then changing and putting them within smelling reach. They were very interested.

She's adorable. Her coloring is a lot like my Bella. Bella is bigger though.
