I know there are a lot of rescues here needing donations of time & money, so I wrestled with coming to you guys with this all night. I know you guys are all animal lovers & I decided I had to let you know what I am trying to do. Please read my Facebook event page: www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=194430653932892 If you can help I would definitely appreciate it! Please share with your friends & cross post. I know most of you guys aren't from NC so you may not know what has happened around here lately, but I have to try every thing I know to help the animals of this shelter! Thanks guys! PS: This shelter does not euthanize "Pit Bulls" on site. They give them the same chance as any other breed. It is one of the reasons I love this shelter so much! Unfortunately a lot of shelters around here DO euthanize "Pit Bulls" on site. A friend just called me letting me know she just found a 8-10 month old male APBT & the first thing I told her was "DON'T take him to your local shelter, they euthanize Pit Bulls immediately!" Hopefully she will end up keeping him b/c he's such a sweetie I'd take him myself if I didn't already have 4!

Thank you so much! I have been getting donations in my office already. I really want Lynn (from the shelter) to be really surprised when we show up with the back of our F-150 full of supplies! I'm hoping to get a lot of flea & tick medicine. They have quite a tick problem! Since the facility is so old, it has cracks in the concrete that the ticks live in. They get the dogs tick free, then the ticks come out of the concrete...it's a never ending battle. (& yes, they do have an exterminator come out, but it doesn't take care of the problem)

BTW castina, my friend JUST found a male APBT outside her work that looks a LOT like yours! Except the brown is on the opposite side!

You gotta copy & paste the whole thing; for some reason it only highlights part of it. www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=194430653932892 Thanks

@emily, try copying & pasting the whole link. The site is only recognizing part of the link as a URL. It worked for me with a copy/paste.
