LOVE LOVE LOVE this, Mary! One small grammar thing... punctuation such as commas, periods, etc should go inside quotation marks. So it should be "facts?" instead of "facts"?

Thank you, Suzi. I am a stickler for proper grammar and spelling and punctuation.
I want this to not be pinkish but of course I want to make sure I don't sound too hard on the breed, either. I want.....BALANCE. It will include our web links, the RPB logo and another image of a Pit Bull that I want to somehow represent the sort of yin/yang of the breed........make sense?

Just put in my two cents...a cute spokesdog might resemble the Bette Boop dog. Maybe an intro page with a collage and "Interested in getting to know these amazing dogs?" Then follow that with "Please allow us to introduce to you...The Real Pit Bull". After that use the cartoon to present facts, myth-busting and the positive points of pitty ownership. The book Pitbulls for Dummies has some well worded info on the subject, might be additional inspiration.

The goal is to keep it short and sweet and direct people to the RPB website which has all the info we want people to see as well as tons of resources.

Oh this is great. Wish it would be ready before my program. The only line I am questioning is Don’t buy the hype – Pit Bulls aren’t all sugar and they aren’t all spice. The DONT BUY THE HYPE one. The hype to most is the opposite. I know what you are trying to say but I think that needs to be worded better. Like saying pit bulls are not (use the negative terms) and Pit bulls are not the sweet sugar spice then go into the perfect blend. Do you get what Im saying? Its early Sat morning. I should be still in bed. LOL

I chose the word HYPE because it's ambiguous. There is hype in both directions. Do you have a word suggestion? I can't come up with a better one that portrays what I want to portray which is to make people question what they are hearing about the breed, no matter what - then come to our site for the REAL deal.

IDk I am not good with words. So you are trying to get the pinkers and the ones who fear is that right? I am trying to get both and the ones who have not learned to be responsible and want or have one because they are cool. Odd that today I noticed a kid in ball court (not totally fenced) with an off lead pit bull puppy. And if it is the kid I think it is, that is just great (not). Then later at parking lot of small strip of stores ( 2) and a post office. I walked passed a girl with a young pit bull. I gave her my social look of oh I have one and I want to meet yours. But she kept her head forward and did not acknowledge my existence at all, then proceeded to tie her dog to a pole. at this point was already at my car turned to the left and their were two blue happy pit bulls sticking their heads way out of their car window trying to see what the other dog was doing. They were not barking. But here I was thinking in my 2 sq mile village, what the heck is going on? these were all young dogs. Where are they coming from and damb it why are people tying dogs up outside of stores. Those are the people I want to try to reach at my program. Well the first kid probably wont matter but ya never know.

I see CA's point, but I think "hype" is probably the most appropriate word to use. I think that it actually will speak to both sides: the hype that pit bulls are vicious killers and the hype that they're perfect angels that will baby sit your children. And it speaks to the "pit bull type dog" bullsh... I mean hype.

This is one version of the flyer. I'm going to try out several other designs as well, but I wanted to get this out there to start. Anyone feel free to download and print, and distribute. Attachments:

I like it! but I see a typo... next to the logo at the bottom, change "dedication" to "dedicated"?

A volunteer did this flyer, I didn't notice the typo. I'm most likely going to do another version myself.
