I read this on a flyer at Planet Dog and it had me in tears. If you have any extra fund please consider donating them! In Milo's Memorywww.giveforward.com/inmilosmemoryI had the fortune of being partnered with my service dog and friend Milo in 2007. We enjoyed four wonderful years together, and I got to feel his love as well as his support. I have autism, and Milo was an extraordinary help in my daily life. He knew how to apply deep pressure when my body was going into overload, respond to loud/high pitched noises which hurt me by nudging me, intelligent disobedience- not letting me leave without important items such as my keys, getting help when needed, and he was learning how to lead me to an exit when I go into sensory overload. Due to increasing toxins in his liver, Milo was permanently relieved of duty in September of 2011. I am trying to raise money in his memory for a successor service dog from a non-profit organization called ACTS. With the costs of the program training, transportation, lodging, and other costs, I am raising $5,000. You are welcome to donate via the button at the bottom of this page, but if you'd rather send a donation by mail: Please fill out the ACTS Donation Form and make checks payable to ACTS. Assistance Canine Training Services (ACTS) PO Box 86 Center Tuftonboro, NH 03816 Any help you can give is greatly appreciated- if you could pass this page on to others that would be wonderful! Milo looks like he was a big mushy, sweety. I hope his mom can find a new service dog soon.
