OK, having trouble posting a pic. Mary will ride to my rescue, or at least that's the hope! Anyway, Lilac is a wee widdle Pit Bull. She's a slightly pudgy 35lbs at a guesstimated 12-15mos. She seemed a little undersocialized when she came in, but has become a real pal to people. She tends to hyper alert around dogs and the one attempt to rehome her with a dog after an "okay" dog meet lasted just a couple of hours. Her size and alertness around dogs leads me to wonder if she isn't perhaps from recent fighting lines, a speculation made all the more plausible considering where she came in from, which is the only known true "hotbed" of dog fighting in the county. This is the dog that some rescuer thought I was being "unfair" to with my restriction that she go home with no other dogs. Yeesh. Anyway, I hoped that alerting the cognoscenti about her might lead to a good foster or permanent home!

I guess I would call her tan and white, though her tan is a little deeper than what others might think when they think tan and white. She has kind of a pink glow about her that does make Lilac a nice name for her! She has no brindling.

It's fair to say that this effect became somewhat exaggerated somehow in this cell phone pic, but it's there in real life as well!
