....people email me and tell me what I should add to the RPB website, trying to disguise the fact that they are only fishing for business. Like the "pack leader- / dog whisperer-wannabe" who insisted she was a positive trainer in line with what we promote and teach through RPB. I actually argued (nicely) back and forth with her and she ended up inviting me down to watch a class of hers. No thank you - I'm not sending people to someone who promotes herself as a "pack leader" and tells people she uses "energy" to train dogs, and has zero credentials btw. And the email this morning from some random dude who babbled about reading the page on ear cropping on the site, and thought that was a good segue ??? into suggesting I add the **barf** Continental Kennel Club to the registry list.  I needed to bitch for a second. Just having an annoying morning. |

At least there is a delete button for emails.
I still laugh whenever I get those scam mails, but the best one's are either 'Come check out my webcam!', or 'Are you interested in natural male enhansement?'
Seriously though, I think people are still mixed up when it comes to 'Dog Whisperer' type training and positive training.
After work one day I walked over to the nearby PetCo to browse and oggle at the kitties for adoption. I got talking with an employee about the training classes that they offered and was told it was all PR training, and that 'Of course the trainer emphaized pack dynamics and the role of the pack leader'.
I thanked the employee and left right after.

What the hell, I drive an hour and a half to go walk my dog... It's down there where Evesham Road, Route 42 and the Black Horse Pike/168 all come together. It's either south Camden County or north Gloucester County. |
