Hello All! So I took Emily's advice and emailed the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of America. I mentioned in my email that I would be working with the Staffordshire Terrier Club of America Rescue Committee. They emailed me back about two AmStaffs looking for a new home in Florida. It's a very sad story. We are working on getting more information and some pictures, but here is what I know so far from a SBTCA volunteer in Florida: "We have a sad situation here. One of our members passed away from cancer Friday night. She has 4 Staffords & 2 AmStafs. Her daughter is going to take the Staffords, but we need to find homes for the 2 AmStafs. They are AKC retired Champions. They are lovely sweet dogs, crate trained, house broken. They need to be spayed & neutered. I contacted AmStaf Rescue, but they have no Florida volunteers & nobody on a waiting list looking to adopt. I know we are far away from each other, but we could get a transport rolling. These 2 are older, 9 I think, but in good health. I saw them in September. They are about 2 hours away from me. Let me know if you think these 2 can live out their golden years with someone." I will update this as I know more!

I just received pictures of the two AmStaffs in Florida. Their names are Annie and Stuart. We're trying to get in contact with their original breeder at the moment. Annie: Stuart:

Do you know who the breeder is? Also any info on how they are with other dogs, if you know.

They are so adorable, but Annie is just too too precious. Squinty grandma-dog face

Their breeders are Denine and Michel Shenise, they have moved to North Carolina and are no longer breeding, but we're trying to contact them. I'm pretty sure they are good with other dogs since they lived with 4 Staffords, but I'll have to find out for sure.

Hopefully the breeder will take them back, regardless. But yeah, keep me posted on this.

Still nothing from the breeder and no real interest for these two. Can I post them on RPB's Facebook?

Great news!Their breeder has agreed to take them back! She is located in North Carolina. We have transport as far as Georgia. If anyone can help with transport between Georgia and North Carolina, please let me know! I am so happy for these two!

I know! I was surprised, considering she doesn't breed AmStaffs or Staffords any more. It's really nice to see a truly ethical breeder out there!
