....going to the BR blog because most every time I do, I read something offensive that pisses me off and ruins my day! (P.S.: one of my New Year's resolutions is "Be Less Negative". But until 1/1/12, I'm going to continue my grouchy, pissy, point-out-the-negative ways )

I do the same thing. I found a Facebook page called "Staffordshire Bull Terrier." The profile picture was of a show quality AmStaff/APBT! I commented saying that and the guy said, "How do you know??" Um, because I have eyes!! The crazy/restored my faith in humanity a touch thing about it is, after I sent him a couple of links to the breed standard, he actually changed the profile picture and posted up the breed standard! I always assume people are blissfully ignorant, but he was just waiting to be educated, I guess!
On the other hand, yesterday I got kicked off the other forum that I frequent (and was actually recently made a moderator of) for saying that Staffords were originally bred for dog fighting and not for ratting. The administrator was absolutely convinced that they were bred for ratting, but had no references/links to back it up. I provided several links to the breeds history (including a link to the history page of his own website) that all said that they were originally bred for fighting. He deleted the topic, a bunch of my recent posts on the forum and facebook page, stripped me of my moderator privileges, then banned me and changed my title to VIP member so no one knows I was banned. I guess some people are blissfully ignorant. [Faith in humanity back to normal level.]
P.S.That's a good new years resolution, I think I'll wait until 2013 (if there is a 2013, muahahaha!)

Yeah, I was pretty angry and bummed by the whole thing. Two members have contacted me on Facebook to find out what happened, no one even knows I'm banned! The funny thing is, there is a Like button on the forum and it totals the amount of likes and dislikes that you receive and shows them under your name. I had 67 likes (no dislikes), he had 60 (he had more likes, but the amount of dislikes brought his total down). Obviously, no other members had a problem with me! Oh well, I don't want to be a member of a forum with an Admin like that, anyway.

Reminds me of when I was tossed off an anti-BSL list that was focussing on a proposed ban of many, many breeds in Europe when I tried to set the record straight after MANY posters said "we should contact PeTA!!!" I told them that PeTA was probably behind the proposed ban and that there are a lot of people with lots of anti-BSL experience that the people there could learn from, so as to not waste time trying to make buddies with sworn enemies, etc. I then posted links to two particularly good anti-BSL lists. And for that I was booted. Ah, the memories.

So nuts. PETA is very open about the fact that they SUPPORT BSL. It's not even a hidden agenda, they are very blatant about it.

So many otherwise intelligent people are ignorant about PETA and their Pit Bull hating, BSL supporting ways! I wish people could be more open to new information.

I have this urge to troll PETA to the extreme... Wearing a felt animal suit, eating a turkey leg with like 5 bullies on leashes.

I have this urge to troll PETA to the extreme... Wearing a felt animal suit, eating a turkey leg with like 5 bullies on leashes. A very close friend of mine is a peta supporter. He and I go rounds, and have come to an impass. We agree to disagree and avoid the topic. Otherwise we'd have some pretty good arguments. He believes that people should no longer breed dogs, be no more 'breeds'. Round and Round we go.
