about 15 years ago was the first time i ever had to break up a dog fight. we were 20 something year old idiots. one of my room mates had a pit bull named poco she was spotted and really awesome looking never seen a dog like her since. my other room mate had a pit bull mix also a female. anyway the two dogs ended up not getting along and had gotten into a few fights. so we had to keep them separated at all times but no one had a crate (idiots we were). we just kept them in separate rooms. we were having a party one night. one dog was outside and the other in the house separated through a sliding glass door. i'm pretty sure i told everyone to not let the dogs in or out. (idiot i was) of course someone let poco outside and they instantly start fighting. i think i was in the kitchen and i heard them start fighting and ran outside everyone was just standing around looking and i'm yelling for someone to come help me but no one would. i think i had already been bitten trying to break them up before so i knew better than to stick my hand near their faces. but as soon as i could get one off of the other the other one would just grab back on. eventually i ran to the kitchen and filled up a pot of water and dumped it on them and they let go and i threw poco in the house. there was a lot of blood poco ended up having a tear under her armpit that was pretty gnarly she had to get it stapled up. she went into shock and we put her in the tub until my room mate got back because it was his dog. then he took her to the vet. she ended up being fine. the other dog athena had some bite marks on her face and punctures on her neck. but she was ok too.
but poco was really my first experience with pit bulls and she won me over that dog was so awesome.
