Is there any breed of dog that loves cuddling more than a Pit Bull?
Sedona is a master at it. Lola freezes at the though of a good rubbing. Rocky lives for it.
Disclaimer: I've never lived with any other breed, except for a Chi and a Cockerpoo. They were not cuddlers, but they were smarter than any pit that I've met. Just not cuddlers.

The cuddliest dogs I've known have all been pit bulls. In my experience, even the pit mixes are less cuddly than the APBTs.

Pit Bulls are by far the cuddliest breed IME. I love the contrast this breed offers: strong, powerful, yet soft, sweet and total cuddle muffins.

Yup, even box-heads, muscle bound lap puppehs...our bassett and border collie never bonded anywhere near as close as Ophie even from the first day.

I love how Brandy and Otis will go from snarling and wrestling one second to asleep in my lap the next second. Dharma is a little more aggressive in her "cuddling." It usually involves climbing up onto your head, punching you in the eye with her one front paw, and licking you into submission.

You pretty much described my blue spaz right there, just add the out-of-control head swing. What surprises me about Sedona is that with her lack of socialization early on she's a natural. Or had a good teacher.

The cuddliest dogs I know are Pit Bulls and my cousin's Boxer. I love me some big headed cuddle buddies!

Or had a good teacher. As soon as Sedona decided she wasn't scared of me, she was instantly the biggest cuddler. Just insanely cuddly. You can't "train" that into them, they just are genetically predisposed to cuddling

Pablo is in many ways fairly reserved in his affectionate behavior by Pit Bull standards, but he's always been a cuddler with me. As I explain to my friends, I go to bed every night with a guy named Pablo and I don't care who knows it or what anyone thinks about it!

I pretty much can't sit down without having Andrew's massive block head in my lap. It makes working on the computer rather uncomfortable, but he's my lil cuddle buddy regardless.
... which also has made it SUPER hard training him to sleep in his new heated dog bed, because he wants to snuggle up (and kick me in the kidneys and shove me off the bed) all night long, but I need some sleep!!!!!! LOL

Pit Bulls def. win the 'cuddly' award....hands down. Bola pouts if he cant be smashed up against you, at all times. Bola has come to use my big ol prego belly to his advantage in his cuddling antics. Its become a leg rest, head rest, and something for him to wrap his body around. Poor guy is going to be devastated when there is no longer a 'pillow' for him attached to me.

I forgot how old Sedona is, but Rhett is 2 now. For the first 6-12 weeks of life he had no socialization. From 12 weeks until we got him at 5 months, he had very little socialization. The records from the shelter that had him show he was walked once a day, but for almost 4 weeks he wasn't handled because they thought he was sick or something. After we got him, it took a long time to get him over a lot of humps, but today he is the biggest snuggler I have, but it was really only w/ me. He is adoring Jackie now, so thats a good thing, but he is still shy of her daughter. (Still is afraid of men.) Winston and Cleveland have to be touching a human if they are within reach. I can't even sleep if I don't have Winnie with me. Ellie is learning to cuddle slowly. She now has to be touching me when we go to bed, before she was content to be in the bed off on her own. It can be pretty frustrating in the middle of the night. She is still not a couch cuddler, and she doesn't like the other dogs to snuggle with her. I will try to get close to her and stuff, but it makes her uncomfortable. I guess that is the mix in her My pug was very very cuddly. At night he slept in the crook of my arm like a baby, using my arm as a pillow. During the day I would hold him like a baby while he slept. But, he did believe he was a pit bull, so I guess it all works out.

Lincoln isn't the biggest cuddle-bug until you actually get in bed then he is all over you...Probably for the heat value. lol He is a very sweet pup but has an independent streak right now.

It's so funny, because all the boys are major cuddle hogs and the girls are definitely not!
Mav and Cappy take the cuddling cake, by far. Mav always sleeps cuddled into me with his head resting on my bent leg, and his body against my belly. Cappy is either in Jim's arms, or between our pillows. And when I sit on my recliner, I get them both.
Snorts is the "can't sit still" cuddler. He wiggles and moves so much that he never actually cuddles, but boy does he try. He's more of the "let me rub my bum all over you while you yell about how much I'm hurting you" cuddler, and I still can't get enough.
The girls, being non-Pit Bulls, are kinda opposed to it. Phyllis, the bully, will cuddle sometimes with men, and then jumps off when Snorts tries to steal her spot. Granny loves getting petted, but doesn't want to be on your lap at the time.
I love when they snuggle in next to you and let out that big "ahhhhhhh" sigh. So darn cute.

Lucy my pit bull is the most cuddly dog ever. It is all she wants to do. Jake the bully/heeler mix wants attention all the time but is definatly not a cuddler. I used to think (and probably posted on here at one point) that Lucy was pushy towards him and always wanted to take the bed he was on but I realized just recently that she REALLy wants to cuddle with him and he doesn't like being touched in a cuddly way so he will run away from her. She keeps trying though. For now she will have to stick to cuddling with me, my partner and she's cauctiously trying to cuddle the baby now. I say cautiously because she thinks I am going to tell her no because I am afraid of her sitting on him because she loves him too much. IMAG0135 by atankcalledokay, on Flickr
