I tried to see how someone could get soapy from the flavor of cilantro. I can't figure it out. I find that I put it in more and more things as time goes by.

I hate it, too! I always remove it from any dish before I eat, and I don't have it anywhere in the house. Yuck!

Does anyone use flax seed or flax seed oil? How do you incorporate it into your diet? I use the seed itself. Put about 1/4 cup (you might want to start with a tb spoon at first) in with all the stuff I make smoothies with in the a.m. Good stuff.

One of my faves is a monks bowl done by Green Restaurant here in SA Tx. It's Quinoa tabouli, marinated kale, black beans, and chipotle mayo. Totally vegan and a ton of protein. I can post the recipes for the chipotle mayo and kale - happen to have those at home I can eat this everyday for every meal if it's available.

Super EZ - It's soy milk, chipotle en adobo, salt, then you drizzle canola oil as you blend. I believe the measurements are 1 & 1/2 cups on the oil and 1 cup on the soy but I might have that reversed. I will post exact measurements soon. You can also play with the ratio of oil to soy milk and get it to be thicker like a traditional mayo but i like it to be more like a dressing in consistency.

I recently discovered how easy it is to make marinara. I make mine chunky with lots of mushrooms. I've also recently discovered Boca burgers. I tried making "meat" sauce by shredding the burger and adding it to the sauce, and it's pretty good. On whole grain pasta it makes a great meal. The only problem is you have to add the burger just before you serve it or it gets soggy. If I take it to work I have to use two containers; one with sauce and one with pasta and burger. Heat them up and toss together.

I have a cilantro ridden recipe because I love the stuff. It's pretty easy to make and can be served hot or cold and is better the next day.
You need: Quinoa black beans (1-2 cups depending on how much you want) kidney beans (same as black beans) 1 jalapeno green chilis diced black olices (or a ton of them if you eat like me) olive oil and CILANTRO
Boil the quinoa in vegetable broth and while that is going, combine the other ingredients in a big bowl. The olive oil and cilantro are to your preference as are the olives. I like a ton of both and usually add extra green chili. Let everything marinate till the quinoa is done, combine, and nom.
Usually taste better the next day

Looks good! I would substitute black beans for the kidney beans. ;o) Love black beans!

Yeah, natural flavors are typically a no-no.

yeah, I typically stay away from natural flavors.
In other news, I found caramel almond butter at the store and will be away from my computer for the next hour with a spoon
