Yeah, some are boxers, bulldogs and Bull Terriers, too, but there are some neat pictures on there! Thanks for sharing!

I saw quite a few Cappy look-a-likes!
Are there few to no blue Pits because of stable breeding practices, or did blue appear later after more bloodlines were added? Have to admit I suck at history and have no clue how old some of these photos are...

Have to admit I suck at history and have no clue how old some of these photos are... we don't know because color photography didn't become common until post 1960 and later. There aren't that many colored illustrations/paintings of dogs either. We don't even know for sure what color the legendary "Blue Paul" was...

Yes there are a lot of crappy blue dogs out there because too many BYBs and puppymiller types breed for that color. But blue is a legit AST color (if a little controversial because of how the standard is written), AND is totally acceptable in APBTs.

Oh yeah, I know it's a perfectly fine color. Probably my favorite, but that's besides the point!
It's just that nowadays it's the "RARE blue PITT for sale!" ads all over the place and has turned into this BYB money scheme. I was just wondering if back in the day, people got it right and didn't select for blue because of the skin issues. I tend to give credit to old time breeders because they usually knew what they were doing.
