so a lot of people who see palace ask me if she is a boxer or part boxer. i don't really think she looks like a boxer at all...i think it might have a little to do with her underbite and her color. i think she maybe has a bit of american bulldog in her but not boxer. also underbites are undesirable in pit bulls correct? doesn't it give them a weaker bite? palace also has really small teeth and i think she might be missing some...not like she chewed on some rocks and they fell out but like they never came in. we found palace running around our hood with mange and no tags and rescued her. so i really don't know what she is and i don't really care...i love her either way but i thought it could be interesting to discuss. tons of pics of her here therealpitbull.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=pix&action=display&thread=7216

I always thought Palace looked like a Pit Bull/Pit mix. She could have some Boxer or AB in there, too. Who knows. But yes, underbites are a fault in the APBT.

I always thought that she looked like a Pit, but if I cover her face and just look at her muzzle in this picture: I could see where someone would get the idea that she is a Boxer mix. Even so, I think she looks like she has a lot more Pit in her than Boxer. I never knew Palace's full story, thank you so much for saving her from that situation!

oh yeah palace was running around on a busy street in our hood and my wife saw her on her way to work and said i should go catch her before she got hit. so i rode up on my skateboard and got off when i got close. i figured a bike would scare her...palace was harassing another person walking his dog trying to play. so i grabbed palace and the guy said he had seen her running around out on that street before but he didn't know where she lived. mrs dooktruck meant catch her and find her home but she had no tags and obviously wasn't taken care of. meiko our other pit bull had just passed on about 3 months before and he was mrs dooktruck's first dog. she was not ready for another dog. but i told her we could foster palace and there was no way she was going to the shelter. we put a found dog listing at the shelter but no one claimed her... she's ours now. anyway mrs dooktruck loves palace now it was just hard because she wasn't ready for another dog so soon.

I don't think that sweetie looks very boxerish at all. I call that underbite "bulldog lip"; Ozzy had it, though not so much. She may be a little jowly for a purebred

I think she looks amazingly similar to Rocky. She just has more droopy lips. Her eyes coloring and nose are very similar to Rocky. Rocky was found in a shelter. He was turned in as a puppy as a pit bull. Most people say he is a mix. But with what IDK I have heard it all. Even Border Collie that was from a trainer I went too because how he works with Shaping exercises.
