We tie Bola on a tie out right beside the house so he can relieve himself....he is NEVER left outside unsupervised. I'm always right there watching....anyways....
I had an eye opening experience... The other day I grabbed the tie out leash to let Bola out, I tied him to it n was about to drop the lead when I noticed the lead was cut. Our tie out is one of the ones with rubber on the outside and wire on the inside. It was a clean cut thru the middle of the tie out. My fiancee guesses it was with wire cutters.
Since this, I have only taken bola out on a 6 foot leash.
Today, I had him out near where his tie out was and he began pulling for something....i looked in the grass and there was a hot dog with 5 white pills stuffed inside. I called the PD they said the pills were ibuprofen...enough to make him very sick.
Dont know if I pissed someone off or someone especially hates Pit Bulls but this scared the sh*t outta me.
Just a reminder.....watch your dog like you watch your child!
1 things for sure....this prick (said nicely) better pray and hope Kris and I do not find out who they are....

Oh geez that is exactly what I was afraid of when I saw the fb post someone cut his line. That so scares me. We have a few a hole neighbors that I know dislike me. I hope they are too stupid to even know to do something like that. May I suggest investing in a camera surveillance system. They are not real cheap but I know that BJs had the best deal on them. I had gotten the one that came with a DVR and 6 cameras. We set them up all over after neighbor kid threatened to send his BOYZ on us. what ever that means. So just to cover our ass if we had to take action we wanted to catch the little bastard if he tried to do something. I think BJs had a good return policy like more than 30 days so once things calmed down and we were not catching anything and realized I did not need six cameras and could probably just hook it up to an old lap top I ended up returning the thing got my money back it was like 600 bucks. But the kid now knew we had cameras the police knew we had cameras and the family and police knew we also own a slew of handguns. I will likely get a few cameras and hook them up to my old laptop this way I can see the one side of my house I cant see from inside as well as be able to see Rocky out side and the front. And record every move. Thank God Bola did not eat it. Even on a walk if Rocky saw a hotdog he would swallow it whole. And how would we know something was in it. I bet you want to move now.

Thank god you're observant and noticed that! Make sure you file a police report for EVERYTHING, and like CA said, a camera may be useful. How frightening. Sorry you're having to go through this.

Yes you must report it all and I would even put in request that they patrol around your house often as you fear for your life etc etc.

I'm so sorry AmyJo, this is terrible. Christina is right about a fake camera to scare away the weirdos. Mabey even a couple of signs on your door and around you property saying "this property is under video security" or somethink like that.

Oh my goodness! I would be so upset! I'm so sorry this is happening to you. I agree with everyone else, the cameras are a good idea. What would possess someone to try and hurt a dog is beyond me. I hope you catch them!!!

No trespass and private property signs a smart thing too this way if someone comes on the property and you catch them you can at least be covered for that. We had someone steal a quad from our property once I knew this I tried to press charges for trespass and was told cant do it without having it posted. Even though these people cased my house and I had tag numbers and dates the car drove up and down private road in front of my house, needed to put up sign which is now there.

OMG Amy Jo!!! That is awful! I'm just glad that nothing happened to Bola. Ugh, I just hate people. As others have said, I would think about getting a security camera. We had issues a few years ago with a neighbor kid banging on our windows when we weren't home to freak out the dogs. A couple of other kids told on him. We notified the police just so they had it on record, warned his parents not to let him near our property, and got a security camera to put in the window. It has a view of the entire front of the house, sidewalk, and driveway. It connects to the computer and store the footage on an external hard drive. It didn't cost much at all to set up, just takes a lot of time to get it right.

omg that is horrible!!! wtf is wrong with people? from now on scan your entire yard before you let the dogs out, and dont use the tie out anymore... leash walk bola from now on AFTER you have scanned your yard front, back, side for any poisons or meats and definitely call the cops

Thats horrible. Someone first either tries to get your dog to run away, or else have the tie-out cut so they can report your 'dangerous loose dog', and then that not working they try to feed him poisoned meat?!
We have a fenced in yard here with a little walkway area from the backdoor to the backgate, and even then we keep Maxine on a leash untill we are in the yard, then stand and wait in the yard with her. She is never left out alone. To many happenings like this in our neighborhood to risk it.
Seriously, don't people have anything better to do then try and hurt our furry family members?

That's sad. :/ People are sick.
About 25 years ago, when my grandmother had Siamese cats, she'd let them sun bath in her backyard since they never left the yard. She had oriental neighbors(Not sure if they were Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc) and she'd catch these people killing crows and tried poisoning her cats with raw meat and rat poisoning... successful the second time killing one of her cats. Later, my grandmother found out it was over superstition. Crows bring death and Siamese cats are horrid luck.
People are really horrid.

OMG that is horrible. I think I would go crazy if that happened to one of my dogs. We taught them not to eat anything that is not given by us. Our vet even tried to give them a treat and they both turned their heads. I was so proud of them. I agree I would file a report and get camera's.

Its unreal all the crazy stupid stuff people do. :/ were looking into getting a camera setup. Its not as expensive as we thought itd be. Id like a camera on our front door and our backyard. Itd make me feel better. Bola doesnt get put on a tie out now at all.....too scary. I dont think I could ever teach bola not to devour any spotted food. He's a hog lol. Thank you all for the advice, this had me so shook up n mad, I couldn't even think straight.
