Hey all, I go by Cool Hand Jean most places on-line. I have six dogs currently. I live in Western NC. I'm twenty-four, and a graduate of UNC-Wilmington with a BA in Film Studies. I am currently unemployed. I worked at a Girl Scout Camp during the summer of 2007, which was a lot of fun, and I got to teach the girls about B.S.L and the different breeds people mistake as "pit bulls". Most of the girls said, "But why do they want to get rid of them? They didn't all do something wrong."....
Now to introduce my dogs (click on pictures to enlarge).
Cuddles is a lab/husky mix. She was born September 17, 1994, and I got her at my local shelter when I lived in PA. I got her, so I could earn my Pet Badge in Girl Scouts. She had gotten parvo, but she made it through, and has been a healthy and wonderful companion ever since.
Notch is an Amstaff. He was born November 21, 2001. He is my boyfriend's dog, though we consider him our dog now. He is a pretty cool guy.
Tess is an APBT. She was born November 16, 2005. She has been an excellent dog, and she was an excellent mother. She had nine pups (3 males and 6 females). All that survived. She got spayed May of this year.
Hawken is an Amstaff/APBT. He is named after Stephen Hawking, but we liked this spelling better. He was the first born of Tess' pups, and my boyfriend's pick of the litter. He is an inquisitive dog. Born June 26, 2007.
Locus is an Amstaff/APBT. She was the fifth born. She is a lot like her mother. Born June 26, 2007, last to be born on the 26th.
And last but not least, Morgan, which is an Amstaff/APBT, he was the seventh born. He is a quiet but strong dog. He was born June 27, 2007.
Yes, I bred my dogs. Yes, it was for the wrong reasons, and I like to get that out in the open, so people don't try to act as if I'm hiding it or any of that b/s. I consider it my one and only bybing, and will never breed another dog again, unless it has proven itself worthy of it. If you need to know more about it, or want to ask me about it, feel free to PM me. Not being defensive, I just feel it is important to be up front about things.
