Hi All: I've been a member for a couple of months and have read a lot of the posts and I see that you are people out for the benefit of Pits. I need someone's help. My daughter was just informed that she has 14 days to get rid of her Pit or she's being evicted from her home! She's lived in this home 8 years and has had her Sasha 8 years. Never a problem until a new neighbor moved in a month ago...animal control checked out the dog and said she's fine but...14 days or she and three kids are on the street. She's hoping to move out of NJ to northern NY, but that may take another six months to a year. In the meantime she's got to find a place for Sasha; I know she'll want her back. Can anyone help? She's sick about this. I can't take Sasha as I have two birds and two cats and don't know how she'd be with any of them; although she has a male cat brother at home at the moment and he is the alpha! We don't want Sasha going to a shelter. I just don't know where else to turn to help her. If you have any suggestions or can help you can email me direct at: windyc@optonline.net Thank you All!

Your daughter has lived in the home for 8 years and your dog has not shown any trouble, the new neighbor is complaining apparently out of fear, and the landlord is making you move... I dont think this makes sense , you have the right to live there with your pitbull... I dont think the neighbor has a case and the landlord has stepped on your rights.... I suggest that you hire a lawyer to fight this...

What kind of lease does she have? Did the landlord know about the dog? Sounds crazy that the landlord would side with the new person vs a good renter he/she's had for 8 years. Is this an insurance issue?
