An update on this dog Jax. Just saw on FB he is actually now being trained as a diabetic seizure service dog. I guess his sense of smell is stellar and we already know they are smart as all get out.

I don't know Christina, I can try to find out. I only ask because there is a Service Dog program that I just started working with and they train rescue dogs to be SDs and they're out of Texas. So I was wondering if they were training this handsome man. They're called Possibility Dogs.

Christina, this is who is training him. Looks like they use a lot of traditional methods -in the FAQs it list prong and or choke collars for what you need to bring to training. That kinda bummed me out cause no telling what this dog has been through before he was rescued. His description says he was shut down and cowering in his kennel then belly crawled to them when they got him. I don't know...I am not a trainer and I am not there so maybe it's working out great for him. www.k9mastery.com/

Saw this on FB this a.m Jax gets adoptedSeems like the lady who has been training Jax got smitten w him and has decided to adopt him. Really have a soft spot for this guy. Little sticky for me is I know according to her website she uses prong collars and choke chains, so part of me wants to comment "Yay for doing this for Jax and btw have you ever really looked into only using positive training methods".
