CROSSPOST from our inbox.......
============================================
Hello,
Scotland County Humane Society in Laurinburg, NC is reaching out to breed rescues in the hopes of partnering with them to save more lives. We are an open admission shelter and we are working hard to get our animals adopted or rescued.
Some information about us:
SCHS is set up in a way that they can "quarantine" animals away from the new incoming population, therefore eliminating the need for local fosters or boarding for 2 weeks. We all know that fosters are tough to come by and boarding is expensive!
Our pull fees are as follows: Basically everything is free or about $5 unless they have been fully vetted. Then the fee would ONLY be $60. Fully vetted means at least one set of shots and a deworming AND flea/heartworm treatment (Advantage Multi) AND SPAYED OR NEUTERED AND vaccinated against rabies AND microchipped!!
However, if we are full, the only goal is to get the dogs out to a good home and there would be a very low or no fee for fully vetted dogs. Low being $25 or under. We are usually full....
Also dogs who have been returned to us through no fault of their own also have no pull fees. These are also fully vetted as outlined above.
Also, we have a local vet who will do Health Certs for $12.00.
A fully vetted dog out the door with a health certificate for $72 or less? We can even transport a bit and can meet rescue part way!
We have attached some pictures of three pitbulls that ready to go to an approved rescue. Gus is a returned adoption because of high energy, Ziggy was seized for an embedded collar and Mack (13-D0144) was a stray. None have aggression issues that we have seen under our care.
